How we are improving a product in collaboration with our Chinese manufacturer

We are at this point. 2,000 defective units arrived from China. The good thing is that we have found a way to get rid of them. So far it is working and we are hardly getting any returns. What’s more, even this defective product is being one of the top sellers this Christmas.

Being convinced of the potential of this product, we are investing considerable efforts to create a product that lives up to what we are looking for.

Analyzing competing products

In the design of a product, small nuances can make the difference. That is why we are now analyzing competing products to find those details. Just yesterday I sent photos of a product to the manufacturer in China. Just this morning he sent me photos of the new prototype they phone number library are creating. Now that we have Confluence, we have gone up a lot in terms of documenting processes and meetings. We are still a long way from where we should be, but at least we have when the entrepreneur puts made a start that already marks an important change. I have realized that when you talk to manufacturers in China, everything you say in the chat is lost. Then you have to search for what you agreed with them with endless scrolls in the conversations of the last few months. This is not productive because both the manufacturer gambler data and you are going to forget important details. That is why we have started to document precisely what we need in Confluence. That is our “source of truth.” From there we extract a PDF that we pass on to the Chinese manufacturer.

Small improvements that differentiate us from the competition

We have also decided to add small changes that no competitor has at the moment. This complicates the communication process with China, but we are betting on a better product. It is worth investing the necessary time for it.
